Does “Labor Day” have much meaning for you?

Frankly it never has for me.

Other than it being one of our American Summertime 3-day weekends, it isn’t really significant to me.

And I suspect that I am not the only one who feels this way.

Cause Labor Day is supposed to be all about “the worker”.

Well, I have never identified with being a “worker”.

I am going to say a few things here, that are going to tweak some people, but they gotta be said.

Here’s the Pix from the Piggy Roast!

Today is the beginning of a long end of summer 3-day weekend for those of us here in the USA.

So as you get ready for your weekend parties, beach outings, rafting, water skiing, or just good old BBQ and beer, I wanted you to see the pix of the pig my friends and I roasted a couple of weeks ago.

We nicknamed the pig Clarence. It just seemed somehow appropriate to be sick enough to name a dead pig that we would be eating later that day!

How to Get Big & Exciting Sales Results

Why do you need to sell more? Your answer to this one question will have a big impact on just *How Much* more you will sell in the coming days, weeks and months. Your “Why” is your motivation. A weak why (like “to pay my bills”) will give you weak results. A big why that gets you excited will give you big, exciting sales results.

Just Made Another Sales Jedi

Last week I told you about this guy named Christopher who wrote me wondering if I could teach him how to become a Sales Jedi.

Not the fast-talking-has-all-the-answers type of sales guy.

But a sales master where, to use Christopher’s words, “the customers end up doing all of the ‘work’, and the salesman just guides them to the questions and answers.”

Just One Word Gave Him Away as a Fake

During a phone call the other day, I felt the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

Something about the way this man spoke was just “too nice”.

And something about the way he said “thanks” at the end of the call was a bit odd.

Now this guy is in the type of business where he deals with a wide variety of people. So he wears a “mask” a lot in public.

The thing is, I can tell when the mask is on.

And I think a lot of other people can too.

I had to close every sales manager I ever worked for to first get the job. It’s part of the proof they need that you can sell. But when you get your prospects emotional about their pain, they don’t need to be closed. They’ll come at you and ask you to heal their pain – right now.
